new birding friends. Learn more about birds and their behaviors
as we observe them in the field.
We welcome birdwatchers of all skill levels, including beginners. Those under 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult and we welcome visitors and guests on all our trips.
Newsletter
Our quarterly newsletter has information about local birding,
birding events, and 3 months of field trip listings. It is available as a mailed hard copy or online in Adobe PDF format. All contacts are listed in the newsletter. We also have a Yahoo groups account for members to join.
How to Become a Member
Membership is from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 of each year. Dues are a nominal $10.00 per year, per each household address, for a newsletter hard copy or $8.00, if you want to read the newsletter at this website. All contributions support all our club activities and nonprofit donations. Send your information and your $8.00 or $10.00 check, payable to the Boulder Bird Club, to the Membership Chair, whom you contact for a mailing address.
For more information about membership, please contact our Membership Chair listed in the current newsletter.
Joining the boulderbirdclub Yahoo! Group
BBC members now have a way to communicate with each other about upcoming trips (local, national, international), share sightings information, photos, and other items of interest. Any trip cancellations due to inclement weather should be posted here, too. Find out how to join.
About the Boulder Bird Club
The Boulder Bird Club was founded in 1947 and is "dedicated to the field observation of birds".
It is our firm belief that persons who become interested in birds will continue to care for our birding environment and will be the caretakers of our natural resources. We invite you to be one of these caretakers of our earth.
We keep our dues small so that everyone can be a part of our club and learn to enjoy the birds and the Colorado great outdoors. We welcome all birders, whether advanced or novice and children who are interested when accompanied by an adult. Please, no pets are allowed on our trips except service dogs.
