Field Trips
First Sunday Birding
Meets the first Sunday of every month at Cottonwood Marsh, Walden Wildlife
Habitat, just off N. 75th St. between Valmont and Jay Roads.
Trip times are 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
(May thru September), and 9 a.m. - 12 Noon (October thru
April). Beginners welcome - bring binoculars, snack & water.
Dress for the weather. Just show up! No reservations needed.
Summertime Midweek Birding
The Wednesday Roadrunners Birders are active May, June, July, August & September. Leave at 7:30 a.m. sharp each Wednesday morning to bird a local "hotspot".and return at 10:30 a.m. Meet at East Boulder Recreation Center at west end of the parking lot, 5660 Sioux Drive, off 55th St. between So. Boulder and Baseline Roads. Carpool is .50¢ to $1.00. No reservations needed - just show up. Bring binoculars, snack, & water. Dress for the weather.
Guided Field Trips
Several additional trips are planned for each month, usually on Saturdays.
We have over 50 field trips each year. All trips are listed in the newsletter,
and are posted at the Wild Bird Center.

Whether you are attending a Boulder Bird Club trip or birding on your own, our birdwatching tips are designed to help you get the most out of the experience.
Information for Trip Leaders
Our enthusiastic, considerate trip leaders are what makes the trips fun for
all. If you are planning to be a trip leader, please read the Leaders' Field
Trip Techniques page and follow its guidelines in preparing for your trip.
Meetings
We have three meetings per year. Spring Meeting is held in early Spring with an inspirational birding program, refreshments and a time to "get acquainted" with other birders.
Summer Picnic is held in July in conjunction with a morning bird walk in the foothills and a "bring your own" picnic lunch.
Winter Holiday Party is held in early December to fellowship with other birders and enjoy some wonderful holiday goodies. "Our social event of the year" An opportunity to recap the year's wonderful birding events.
